Located 2 miles outside of Rye, we are perfectly located for Romney Marsh, and other attractions. We are also 20 minutes drive from the market town of Tenterden, and 35 minutes drive from Ashford, where there is an outlet mall, and of course Ashford international train station, for the Eurostar. We have two delightful letting rooms, which are separate to the pub. The Hay Store, and Tack Room, in a converted stable block, both have;
· King sized beds, with duvets · En suite · Original oak beams · Tea and coffee making facilities · Touch on bedside lights · In room safe · Flat screen Televisions with free-view · Dogs may bring their well behaved owners
A full English breakfast is served in our dinning room, or alfresco on our patio (weather permitting) the choice is yours! |

What our previous guests have said: 30th November 2008 NOTE FROM MANAGEMENT We have now installed brand new heating into both rooms, and done away with the fan heaters, which were used for top up heating. We have replaced them with plug in oil filled radiators.
November 2008 We had a wonderful stay here. We were very impressed with the room, staff and food. It is evident that someone put a lot of heart into transforming the rooms into a very nice, clean, modern place to stay. It was bit cold in the room, but the bedcovers were more than enough to keep us toasty! The employees (including the dog!) were extremely friendly. The food was great-- compliments to the chef- he did a great job. We would definitely stay here again! WONDERFUL! Travelling alone can be a trauma sometimes but this place was wonderful & friendly November 2008 We thought it was brilliant value, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was superb. A good break away. The only slight problem that we had was that the room was a bit on the cold side, but then it was November in the middle of a gale. When we found the fan heater it kept cutting out - but that is a very minor thing compared to the rest. The inn itself was really cosy and the food we had wholesome, tasty and fresh. However we don't want to rate it too highly as we would like there to be room enough for us when we go back there again.
October 2008 Me and my partner stayed for one night the pub was lovely very cosy with its log fire bar staff were very helpful and friendly.

A very pleasant stay - just a short hop from Rye where there are plenty of places to eat! Quiet, clean room, friendly staff, lovely pub with good local beer! Definitely worth a second trip
September 2008 I cannot speak highly enough about the Bell. The host was outstanding and handled a most difficult guest with skill and understanding. The room was one of the best I have stayed in - absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent. I would recommend the Bell very highly
August 2008 I found the room more than welcoming. It was very quite, the bed comfortable and it was close to the town of Rye which was important on this occasion. I found that there were several excellent restaurants in the area and the Bell Inn staff were helpful in locating them as there restaurant was closed on the evening in question. I will stay here again as the occasion arises

Check in times 3pm –10.00pm: please note Sunday arrivals during December, January and February , latest check in time is 7.00pm. Check out time is 10.30am. Please see our home page for Inn opening times.
Your card will be authorised, but not charged, when you check in, you may pay with a different card or in cash.
CANCELLATION:- if you cancel by 10.00am three days before your booking, you will not be charged, if not you will be charged for the 1st nights stay.
